Modern slavery statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Financial Year: 2025

This statement is made voluntarily in line with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although Maxwell GeoSystems UK Ltd’s turnover is below the statutory threshold of £36 million, we recognise the importance of transparency in tackling modern slavery and are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards across our operations and supply chain.

Our Business

Maxwell GeoSystems Ltd is a provider of geotechnical data management and software solutions (MissionOS). We operate in the UK and internationally through subsidiaries and project offices. Our supply chain consists primarily of professional services, IT, and project support providers.

Our Policy Framework

We have a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy (issued October 2023, reviewed annually), approved by our CEO and led by the CAO. This policy sets out our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and applies to all employees, contractors, and suppliers. It commits us to:

  • Prohibit forced, bonded, or child labour.
  • Ensure fair treatment, lawful wages, and the right to leave employment.
  • Require suppliers to uphold equivalent standards.
  • Investigate and take action against any unacceptable practices.

Steps Taken This Year

In this reporting period we have:

  • Policy adoption and review: Our Modern Slavery Policy was approved by the CEO and remains in effect across all business operations.
  • Induction and awareness: Modern slavery risks and reporting routes are highlighted in staff inductions and reinforced through management briefings.
  • Whistleblowing routes: Employees and third parties are reminded they may report concerns confidentially through our whistleblowing procedures.
  • Supplier expectations: All suppliers are required to comply with our ethical standards, including zero tolerance of modern slavery.
  • Nil incidents: We confirm that no incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking have been identified in our business or supply chain during this reporting period.

Accountability

Responsibility for modern slavery compliance sits with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), reporting to the CEO. Our Board approves this statement annually.

Looking Ahead

We are committed to continuous improvement and will take the following steps in the coming year:

Roll out modern slavery awareness training for all staff.
Refresh supplier due diligence checks to confirm alignment with our policy.
Continue to monitor industry best practice and HS2/BBV supply chain requirements.
