Given the value and sensitivity of accumulated project data, Maxwell GeoSystems has ensured that system data is securely backed.
Maxwell GeoSystems is an ISO 27001-2022 certified company, gaining initial certification in 2018. Focusing on information security, we have standard processes and procedures in place, and we are committed to continually improve in this area. The standard guides us to identify, assess, and manage risks by implementing security controls that can mitigate or minimize potential threats and vulnerabilities. With the standard, we can develop a robust security policy that specifies the procedures and policies that we need to take to protect our data. In addition, the company is also Cyber Essentials Certified. To view Maxwell GeoSystems’ unique certificate and demonstrate Cyber Essentials Certification.
MGS have necessary security measures in all levels to protect from malign intervention including hacking and denial of service. Details of these can be provided to clients as required. These are extended and enhanced by proprietary tracking and tracing systems which observe the systems for signs of inappropriate activity both by trusted users and external parties seeking access.
The MissionOS systems are scalable and configurable. We provide API services to connect with third-party systems and applications. For the streaming services from any third-party systems, we can easily integrate their API in MissionOS.
MissionOS is a multi-tiered application. Based on the size, level of security requirements and budget, we have customized approaches in hosting services. Larger systems make use of services including RDS and read replicas to give best in class performance.
In compliance with the back-up policy we have with ISO 27001:2022, this ensures that a full daily back-up of our application on all MGS installations is undertaken. Additionally, we conduct mock disaster recovery drills once in every quarter as part of the DR policy. Many of projects are also provided with a parallel DEV/SANDPIT sites which acts as a rollover fail-safe if communications to the production site are interrupted.
Maxwell GeoSystems have implemented secure project wide communications in the most demanding and remote environments. The system servers are accessible worldwide through secure (SSL) internet connections providing guarantees of greater than 99.9% availability on a 24/7 basis. The system is armed with robust firewall implementations to protect each individual level and security logs are verified periodically to further improve overall security & system integrity.
The core system development & QA are based on the OSWASP(Open Web Application Security Project) standards. Code architecture is multi-layered with proper physical and logical separation among various components. The system has multi-layered code architecture, with essential physical and logical separation among various components and high level of security protocols at server, network and application levels. Core modules with the support of queuing mechanisms handle the complex background processing and process syncronisation.
MissionOS uses AWS Cloud to host application and data. The system uses a variety of different AWS services such as AWS KMS for key management, AWS RDS for database management, AWS Kinesis for data streaming, and AWS Rekognition for image and video analysis. In addition, AWS Lamda for server-less computing, AWS Elastic Cache and AWS Elastic Search are used to enhance the overall user-feel and experience. Maxwell GeoSystems works in close partnership with AWS to ensure system and server developments remain at the very forefront of available & evolving technologies.
The MissionOS system handles very large volumes of high frequency data through a variety of protocols, such as, FTP, MQTT and TCP/IP. MissionOS has established a range of very flexible, robust and secured gateways through which data can be made available to third-party systems. The REST based APIs – (Application Programming Interfaces) are easy to integrate and are frequently being adopted & supported.
The core principle development methodology employed on MissionOS is the Agile approach, which focuses on flexibility, collaboration and efficiency. This methodology encourages collaboration and allows teams to deliver quality products incorporating the latest technologies such as AI, Machine-Learning, InSAR, BIM, 3D Digital Twin Modules and Drone utilisation amongst others.
